Visiting a new dentist for the first time can feel unfamiliar. New surroundings, new faces, and uncertainty about the process often make patients hesitant.
At EverSmile Dental, we understand these concerns. Our goal is to make your first visit comfortable, transparent, and well-organized, so you know exactly what to expect at every step.
Your first visit is more than just a routine appointment. It's the first step toward your long-term dental care.
During this visit, our team focuses on:
Understanding your dental and medical history
Identifying any existing concerns
Creating a personalized treatment plan
Your care is personalized through this comprehensive approach, and our partnership will improve your oral health over time.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of our front desk members. Jessica, Glenda, or Penny will guide you through the paperwork, obtain a photo for our records, and verify your insurance so you can maximize your benefits.
While waiting to be called back, feel free to enjoy the complimentary beverage station, read some magazines, or watch TV in the lobby.
The next step in your visit involves being escorted to your private treatment room by one of our hygienists or assistants.
We will have music playing and can provide sunglasses, a pillow, or a blanket to ensure maximum comfort.
There, we will:
Review your medical and dental history
Take a blood pressure reading
Discuss any concerns or symptoms you may have
Now it is time for the X-Rays. At EverSmile Dental, we value patient safety. Our radiograph machines are top-of-the-line and produce the lowest amount of radiation required to achieve quality images.
At your first visit, we will take:
A panoramic X-ray
Four bitewing X-rays
Three periapical X-rays
As well as intraoral photos of any cracked, decayed, or chipped teeth.
After your X-Rays, one of our hygienists, Heather or Amber, will come in to assess your gum health. They will perform a periodontal assessment to determine:
Gum pocket depth
Bone levels
Gum recession
Plaque and tartar buildup
Signs of inflammation
This assessment will determine the type of cleaning that is needed to either prevent, treat, or maintain gum disease.
Now it is time for your exam. Dr. Khushbu Patel will complete a comprehensive examination evaluating everything from your medical history and dental concerns, to your X-Rays and clinical findings, to create the best treatment plan for you and your dental health.
Dr. Patel takes patient education seriously. Don’t be surprised when she pulls up your X-Rays, hands you a mirror, or grabs a model to explain her findings and recommended treatment. She is an accomplished dentist and open to conversing about the different options she can provide you.
With the help of her assistants, Mayra, Nadia, and Crystal, Dr. Patel will provide you with a specialized treatment plan to restore your teeth to an optimal state.
From there, one of the front desk staff will:
Walk you through the recommended treatment
Answer any questions you may have
Discuss payment options or plans
Help schedule your next appointment
We aim to create a comfortable and accommodating experience on your first visit.
At EverSmile Dental, we emphasize:
Clear communication at every stage
A calm and welcoming environment
Modern technology for accurate diagnosis
A personalized approach to treatment
We want to focus on your dental care and, just as importantly, establishing a connection with you that is built on trust and consistency.
We understand that visiting a new dentist can feel overwhelming. At EverSmile Dental, our priority is to make your first experience as comfortable, informative, and positive as possible.
From the moment you arrive to the time you leave, our team is here to guide you through every step with care and clarity. With this in mind, we aspire for your future trips to be stress-free and seamless as your first.
